What's a linesheet?

Good question. I'll be teaching a class through Fashion Denver on July 22nd about this very topic. The class will be held at Fancy Tiger Clothing. Check out the description below:

Title: What's a Linesheet / How do I get my line into stores?

This class explores the three components involved in getting your product from the design table and onto the shelves of your favorite boutiques.

Topics include :
1. What's a linesheet?
2. How to build a linesheet tailored specifically to the needs of a buyer
3. How to approach a store once you have the perfect linesheet.

Fancy Tiger Clothing owner, Matthew Brown, will teach you how to build a linesheet tailored to the exact needs of a buyer and show you how to get your line noticed. Discover which info to include and which info not to include, what format is best suited to your product and to the store, and what info gives you an edge. Next, learn how to find the perfect store for you product and the best way to get your info into the right people's hands. Drawing on 8 years of small business experience and 3 years as a buyer for Fancy Tiger Clothing, This class is the inside scoop to getting your wares into your favorite stores.

FANCY STYLE part 2

This weeks entry for Fancy Style goes to Shannon S. who was spotted on South Broadway sporting a Noo Works denim dress. This piece was a favorite of mine to come from the Spring/Summer line from Noo Works via Jen in San Fracisco. It's made from stretchy denim so the fit is snug but comfy. The elastic waistband makes for versatility and the v-neck can be left untied for a more casual look (as pictured) or just for some breathing room. I'm pleased with the simplicity in which Shannon outifts this dress...a brown leather bag, brown leather sandals and tortoise sunglasses...balancing comfort and summer casual without compromising classic style.

Thanks Shannon!

FANCY STYLE part 1

FANCY STYLE is a weekly entry that features different men and women that we find sporting wares from Fancy Tiger Clothing. This weeks feature exemplifies a perfect balance of two fashion elements currently ruling the streets, big bold prints and detail. You want to be noticed, even up close, try either one on for size.

Allison M. was in town working on her Montesori Masters degree for zero to three year olds when she found our store and discovered this dress that looks like it was made for her. The fit is impeccable and the hints of peach fabric even match her skin tone. The neckline detail stands out from afar and you can't help but notice the two-tiered bottom that hints of a shorter style without the risk.

Thanks to Allison and Tulle Clothing for good taste!

This dress is currently available @ Fancy Tiger Clothing.

If you're discovered, you'll be photographed (with your consent of course), asked a few questions, and rewarded a discount card for your next trip into the store. We just love you more and more each day.

Samuel Chimek's Star Trek jewelry @ Fabric Lab

Samuel Chimek is full of ideas. He once told me comes up with a new fully realized concept every 15 minutes. That's a lot of creative energy to juggle considering he actually produces many of these epiphanies. His most recent creation was featured last night for Fabric Lab's monthly design show called Prototype.

Everything in this jewelry is recycled.

Think rap star Trekkie. And you don't have to like Star Trek.

Samuel Chimek's work will be coming to Fancy Tiger Clothing in September for First Friday's Denver Made. Expect to see the same composite of recycled jewelry and figurines, heavy duty paint, and an abundance of woodland animals we've become so fond of at Fancy Tiger. I can't wait.
